What is energy work?

So many people seem to be a little confused when I say that I am an Energy Healer, and quite frankly it has taken me quite awhile to be able to confidently say this is what I do. What is energy healing and how does it work? I have learned over the years to operate from my own innate knowing and that knowledge comes directly from my heart so I will share that here instead of everything that I have learned intellectually about energy healing.

We are energetic beings, living in an energetic Universe. We are all walking around a little wounded. Some of us more than others. There are many different ways to heal ourselves on the physical and psychological realms, however in my experience those modalities only take us so far. We have a central energetic system called the Chakra system and throughout our life whenever we encounter trauma or pain or even simple anger or confusion an energetic charge is created around the experience and those charges get “stuck” in the energy body. Energy healing, in many different forms, works on unlocking and releasing the stuck energy charges from our body.

Dependent on what we have experienced in our lives this work can present in several different ways, however the result is always ultimately the same. A greater sense of freedom, peace and joy. Whether you are struggling with physical pain, the unseen mental pain, stress, anxiety, unexplained fear; energy healing has the ability to reach into the subconscious and release that pain, many times without an understanding on the conscious level of what exactly has happened and why you are feeling so much lighter.

Energy healing isn’t something that you can touch or see or even completely explain. Energy healing is simply something that must be felt and experienced. Even the most skeptical people cannot deny that “something” is happening. I am a big believer that you certainly don’t have to understand the way something works for it to work for you.
